Bethesda Arches

Central Park is just this magical oasis in the centre of Manhattan and I had to stroll through it sometime in my life. In early 2000 I was fortunate to be sent to America for a couple of courses related to my job and was encouraged by my boss to take a look around the city. As I was on my companies penny I had some extra cash to spend on the more touristy of things and took my first helicopter flip to see Miss Liberty up close and personal.

It was awesome but not the focus of today’s post. Actually one of my favourite images from New York was of the archways at Bethesda Terrace in Central Park. It was February and bitterly cold with snow on the ground but I was loving it. This photo was captured on my Grandpa’s Zeiss Ikon Contaflex. The negative was scanned to produce the digital version. I just love the mood of the photo!
